In the second to last semester before my graduation, I was working hard towards my BFA show. I was photographing apartments for A Place to Call, and running all over the city.
I took lots of 35mm photos of friends, and October was unseasonably warm.
I biked through the empty chicago streets at two in the morning. It never gets dark in chicago, there's always a warm orange glow from the sodium vapor lamps everywhere. I hear they're getting replaced with LEDs soon.
Tr*mp got elected in November, and I went to protests and marched through the city. It felt hopeful then.
